Get ready to run, walk, cheer, and celebrate at THE CAPITOL 5 – Salt Lake City’s exciting new summer tradition! Join us on Saturday, August 22, 2026, for the inaugural edition of this scenic road race and vibrant community festival set against the stunning Utah State Capitol.
Choose between the spirited 5-Mile Signature Run through historic neighborhoods with sweeping views of downtown, the charming Avenues, and the majestic Wasatch Mountains, or enjoy the relaxed 1-Mile Capitol Walk around the beautiful Capitol grounds — perfect for families, friends, and all ages. Both courses finish directly into the lively Capitol Festival, featuring live music, local food trucks, family activities, vendor booths, and that classic Salt Lake City summer energy.
